The Ten Commandments, Exodus 20:3-17

. 3,  YOU SHALL HAVE NO OTHER GOD BEFORE ME.

V.4, YOU SHALL NOT MAKE FOR YOURSELF A CARVED  IMAGE-ANY LIKENESS OF ANYTHING THAT IS IN HEAVEN ABOVE,v OR THAT IS IN THE  EARTH BENEATH, OR THAT IS IN THE WATER UNDER THE EARTH;

V.5, YOU SHALL NOT BOW DOWN TO THEM NOR SERVE THEM. FOR I , THE LORD YOUR GOD, AM A JEALOUS GOD, VISITING THE INIQUITY OF THE FATHERS UPON THE CHILDREN TO THE THIRD AND FORTH GENERATIONS OF THOSE WHO HATE ME,

V.6,BUT SHOWING MERCY TO THOUSANDS, TO THOSE WHO LOVE ME AND KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS.

V.7, YOU SHALL NOT TAKE THE NAME OF THE LORD THY GOD IN VAIN, FOR THE LORD WILL NOT HOLD HIM GUILTLESS WHO TAKE HIS NAME IN VAIN.

V. 8, REMEMBER THE SABBATH DAY, TO KEEP IT HOLY.

V.9,SIX DAY YOU SHALL LABOR AND DO ALL YOUR WORK,

V.10, BUT THE SEVENTH DAY IS THE SABBATH OF THE LORD YOUR GOD. IN IT YOU SHALL DO NO WORK: YOU, NOR YOUR SON, NOR YOUR DAUGHTER,NOR YOUR MALE SERVANT, NOR YOUR FEMALE SERVANT, NOR YOUR CATTLE, NOR YOUR STRANGER, WHO IS WITHIN YOUR GATES.

V.11, FOR IN SIX DAYS THE LORD MADE THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTH,THE SEA, AND ALL THAT IS IN THEM, AND RESTED THE SEVENTH DAY. THEREFORE THE LORD BLESSED THE SABBATH DAY AND HALLOWED IT.

V.12 HONOR YOUR FATHER AND YOUR MOTHER, THAT YOUR DAYS MAY BE LONG UPON THE LAND WHICH THE LORD YOUR GOD IS GIVING YOU.

V.13, YOU SHALL NOT MURDER.

V. 14, YOU SHALL COMMIT ADULTERY.

V.15, YOU SHALL  NOT STEAL.

V.16, YOU SHALL NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS AGAINST YOUR NEIGHBOR.

V.17, YOU SHALL NOT COVET YOUR NEIGHBOR'S HOUSE; YOU SHALL NOT COVET YOUR NEIGHBOR'S WIFE, NOR HIS MALE SERVANT,NOR HIS FEMALE SERVANT, NOR HIS OX, NOR HIS DONKEY, NOR  ANYTHING THAT IS YOUR NEIGHBOR'S.

God's Armor ( Eph. 6:10-18) Roman soldier's armor
Belt- kept body armor in place- belt of Truth- Truth and honesty bind Christian together (Eph. 4:15,25)
Breastplate- Sleeves body armor; leather jacket, with metal strips sown in- Breastplate of Righteousness- purity is part of the Christian life
 (Eph. 5:3) Sandles(feet)- Leather soles, tied by leather thongs up to the knees- Gospel of Peace- Strong, united relationships among Christian
(Eph. 4:3) Shield- Rectangular in shape, thin layers of wod glued together, with bronze or iron edges- Shield of Faith- The Christ's strength comes from God ( Eph. 3:20)
Helmet- Bronze, with an inner plate of iron, with protective extension for the back of the neck- Helmet of Salvation- Knowing that we are part of Christ's body keeps us safe (Eph. 3:6)
Sword- Two-edged,2 feet long, carried in a sheath- Sword of the Spirit- The Word of God (the Bible) is our weapon of attack 
( Eph. 6:17). What does Paul advise? Put on God's armor! Paul, while in prison and under house arrest, sometimes chained to a Roman soldier, had plenty of time to think about applying the soldier's armor to the war Christians fight against the devil.
